SettingMeaning and effect
Device NameNames the web interface and a paired Serin Link. It does not rename the thermostat in the app.
Temp UnitDisplays temperatures in °C or °F. Applies immediately.
Vane TypeSelects the louver axes offered. None or Vertical hides controls the indoor unit does not have.
Poll IntervalTime between reads from the indoor unit; default 2000 ms. Leave it unless support requests a change.
CN105 Baud RateSerial communication speed. Default 2400; some models require 9600. Consult compatibility and CN105 troubleshooting.
Export Settings / Import SettingsSaves or restores selected settings. Excludes Wi-Fi credentials, app pairing and some sensor settings; see backup contents.
Factory Reset…Erases saved Wi-Fi, app pairings, paired Serin Link and settings, then restarts into setup. The firmware remains installed.

For changes, follow Match settings to your indoor unit, Back up and restore, or Restart and reset.

In the Matter section, Names & sensors sets thermostat/fan tile names; Separate Sensor Tiles adds room temperature/humidity tiles after restart.

Modes and temperature ranges

The Modes section lists Heat, Cool, Auto, Dry and Fan. Open a mode to change these settings, then select Save.

Scroll sideways to read all columns.

SettingMeaning and effect
AvailableOffers the mode in the web interface, smart-home app and paired Serin Link. Auto requires Heat and Cool. After changing availability, select Reboot Now so the app shows the change.
Heat Pump LimitsUses the target temperature range reported by the indoor unit.
Custom LimitsSets Low and High with −/+. The indoor unit may refuse targets outside its reported range.

Dry shares Cool's range; Fan has no range. The summary below the list shows the app and Serin Link range, spanning all enabled mode ranges. See Set modes and temperature ranges for the procedure.

Sensors, network and pairing

ControlMeaning and effect
Enable Remote Sensors / Add Sensor…Enables remote temperature sources and discovers supported Bluetooth thermometers.
Single / AverageUses one source or an average of selected remote sources. Sensor offsets adjust individual readings.
Change Network…Attempts new credentials while retaining the current connection if the attempt fails.
Forget Wi-Fi…Erases the saved network and restarts into setup; app pairing and other settings remain.
Show Setup CodeReveals the app setup code, including when already paired.
Reset HomeKit PairingRemoves app pairings; keeps Wi-Fi and other settings.
Reset Matter PairingRemoves app pairings; keeps Wi-Fi and other settings.
Open Pairing WindowOpens a 15-minute window for adding another app.
Paired Controllers / RemoveRemoves an individual app/home connection. Other app pairings remain.

Use room sensors, Wi-Fi changes, and app pairing for instructions and checks.

Firmware and logs

ControlMeaning and effect
InstalledThe installed firmware version. Reload the page after an update to refresh this value.
VersionsFetches published releases when opened. The browser needs internet access; the controller does not. Tags mark latest, beta and installed; Other versions lists older releases. Select a version and confirm to install.
Beta updatesPrioritizes the newest pre-release and offers it as the update if newer than stable. Beta releases remain listed when off. Saved on the controller; turning it off does not change the installed version.
latest tagMarks the latest stable release in Versions. To return from a pre-release, select it and confirm; review the downgrade warning first.
Manual .bin UploadUploads a matching firmware application file; see the update guide for file and board requirements.
Flash LEDFlashes the identification light for three seconds.
Restart DeviceRestarts the controller without erasing settings.
Copy DiagnosticsCopies the controller summary and recent device events.
Log Level / Live LogControls live log detail. The browser keeps the last 200 lines while open; Debug returns to Info on restart.

Follow Update firmware for install steps and Collect diagnostics for support evidence.

ESPHome settings

ESPHome uses the entities and controls enabled in its YAML. It does not use the HomeKit/Matter Device settings page. See standard entities and configuration options.

Settings the controller does not have

HomeKit-compatible and Matter-compatible firmware have these limits:

  • Static IP address. The controller gets its address from your router. To keep the address the same, reserve it for the controller in your router's settings.
  • Status light brightness. The light cannot be dimmed or turned off.
  • Time zone. The controller sets its clock from the internet, and the web interface shows times in your phone or computer's time zone.
  • Password for the web interface. Anyone on your local network can open it. See security.
  • Automatic updates. The controller never installs an update by itself. See Update firmware.
