Firmware Updates

The firmware is open source and free, and so are updates — there's no subscription attached to the hardware. After the first USB flash, updates arrive over Wi-Fi: ESPHome pushes them from your dashboard, and the HomeKit-compatible firmware updates from its web UI. You can also reflash over USB anytime, including to switch platforms.

Before You Ask

A few details make any question much faster to answer:

Your indoor unit model (on the sticker under the front panel — e.g. MSZ-GL06NA).
Which firmware you flashed: ESPHome or HomeKit-compatible.
Where it fails: flashing, Wi-Fi, pairing, or control of the unit.
Anything the troubleshooting page already ruled out.
